DISTRICT A

Breaking and entering, 100 block Sleepy Point Way, Jan. 19, an alarm company reported a break-in. Police discovered that someone had entered a residence by forcing open the front door.

Breaking and entering, 6100 block Brookwood Drive, Jan. 24, someone entered a residence by breaking open a bedroom window. Several handguns were removed.

Breaking and entering, 5500 block Townpoint Road, Jan. 26, someone entered a residence and removed a $50 bill from a pocketbook. There was no sign of forced entry.

Grand larceny, 7000 block College Drive, Jan. 29, someone removed a Sharp VCR and a Goldstar VCR from the video equipment room of Tidewater Community College.

Petty larceny, 5900 block Bradford Drive, Jan. 29, someone removed a 5-inch, off-white, Montgomery Ward television.

Petty larceny, 3200 block Bridge Road, Jan. 30, someone driving a beige, 4-door '82 Olds 98 entered a Food Lion, removed eight to 10 cartons of Newport cigarettes and left without paying.

Breaking and entering, 4600 block Hardy Court, Jan. 31, someone removed a Sony stereo system, a 13-inch Emerson color television, a Magnavox VCR and a small Sony stereo system from a residence.

Breaking and entering, 6000 block Camellia Drive, Feb. 5, someone broke a window, ransacked bedrooms and took an Emerson VCR and change.

Unauthorized use of motor vehicle, 4400 block Cole Avenue, Feb. 5, a brown/tan 81 Ford 4x4 was loaned to a relative, who drove it out of state without permission.

DISTRICT B

Armed robbery, 1400 block North Main St., Jan. 20, someone entered a store brandishing a 9mm handgun and demanding money. Employees were forced into a freezer.

Lost/stolen, 1200 block North Main St., Jan. 24, someone removed a North Carolina license plate from a vehicle.

Grand larceny, QVC Drive, Jan. 24, someone removed a black and blue, two-door '91 Geo convertible from the parking lot of a business.

Petty larceny, 100 block Mallard Drive, Feb. 4, someone removed both license plates from a vehicle parked in front of a residence.

DISTRICT C

Grand larceny, 800 block West Washington St., Jan. 26, someone removed a teal green, '94 Pontiac Firebird from a gas station. A set of spare keys had been left in the glove compartment.

Forgery/uttering, 200 and 1400 blocks North Main St., several checks totalling $375 were forged on an account.

Forgery/uttering, 200 block North Main St. and 900 block West Washington St., Jan. 26, several checks totalling $237.50 were forged on an account.

Grand larceny, 1000 block North Main St., Jan. 29, someone removed a cream-colored, Med G III leather jacket from a store without paying for it.

Breaking and entering, 300 block Pine St., Jan. 29, someone broke out a window and pried open the back door of a residence.

Grand larceny, 500 block Wilson St., Jan. 29, someone removed a male black Lab that had been chained to a porch. The dog is six months old and answers to the name ``Romeo.'' He was wearing a red chain and collar.

Grand larceny, 1200 block North Main St., Jan. 30, someone driving a greenish-gray, two-door '80 Plymouth pickup was observed loading pallets onto his vehicle. The pallets were the property of Wal-Mart, and no one had permission to remove them.

Malicious wounding, 100 block Mahan St., Jan. 31, someone was struck with a glass ashtray during a domestic argument.

Grand larceny, 300 block North Main St., Jan. 31, someone removed a coat with a set of car keys in the pocket. When the owner went to get his vehicle, a white, two-door '88 Hyundai, he discovered it was missing.

Breaking and entering, 400 block Jackson St., Jan. 31, someone entered a residence hallway and removed a 24-inch, tan and brown racing bike.

DISTRICT D

Breaking and entering, 2500 block East Washington St., Jan. 20, while on routine patrol, a police officer discovered that the board that normally covers a concession stand front window was missing. The interior had been ransacked.

Breaking and entering, 200 block Spruce St., between Jan. 23 and 24, someone entered an apartment by breaking a panel of glass and unlocking a door. Three new quilts were removed.

Grand larceny, 400 block Culloden St., Jan. 24, someone removed a silver, two-door '79 Mercury Cougar that had been parked at a relative's residence. The car was towed away by a man who told the relative he was towing it for a realty company.

Armed robbery, 1200 block Blythewood Lane, Jan. 24, someone entered a business to look at guns. Once the guns were displayed, the man displayed a chrome-plated handgun and stated, ``I am going to take these guns,'' then asked, ``What is that in your shirt pocket?'' The clerk handed over his wallet and approximately $200 was removed.

Motor vehicle theft, 500 block South Main St., Jan. 26, someone removed a blue, four-door '87 Pontiac.

Breaking and entering, 1900 block East Washington St., Jan. 28, someone removed a Magnavox VCR from a bedroom.

Breaking and entering, 100 block Cullodan St., Jan. 29, someone entered a residence and removed a VCR.

Breaking and entering, 400 block Woodruff St., Jan. 31, someone entered a residence by breaking a window. Removed were two diamond bracelets, three ladies leather coats, two brown leather coats, two men's Zeidler leather coats, a USA sweat suit, a gold herringbone necklace, a man's Citizen gold quartz watch, a 27-inch RCA color TV and VCR, and a RCA boom box and CD player.

DISTRICT E

Breaking and entering, 400 block Pioneer Road, Jan. 29, someone pried the locks off the back door of a residence. Items were disturbed but nothing was removed. Fresh bicycle tracks were noticed in the rear.

DISTRICT F

Breaking and entering, 2600 block Holland Road, Jan. 20, three mobile homes were entered and three electric ranges, three refrigerators, two sofas and two chairs were removed.

Breaking and entering, 2000 block Holland Road, Jan. 23, someone entered a business by kicking in the door. Once inside, a 20-inch RCA television valued at $120 was removed.

Grand larceny, 4300 block Deer Forest Road, Jan. 29, someone entered a lumber company vehicle and removed chain saws, a roll of chain saw chain, an Enerpac horse machine and a double halogen portable light.

Petty larceny, 2300 Airport Road, Jan. 31, someone entered a truck and removed the city sticker that the owner had placed in the side-door pocket. by CNB
