Gracie Elizabeth Williams Carroll, 76, of the third block of DeKalb Ave., died Feb. 13, 1996, in Maryview Nursing Care Center in Suffolk.
She was a native of Portsmouth and was the widow of Marion A. Carroll Jr.
She is survived by two daughters, Romayne Byrum and her husband, Danny, Deborah Ballard and her husband, Donald; two sons, Marion Earl Carroll and his wife, Susan R., Marion A. ``Mac'' Carroll III and his wife, Pamela; 10 grandchildren, Allison Powell, Michael, Andrew, Paul, and Chris Ballard, Beth and Katy Carroll, Reggie, Kevin and Eric Byrum; three great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday in Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, by the Rev. Ron Rice. Burial is in Olive Branch Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 7 to 8 p.m. and at other times at 24545 Miller Lane, Carrollton. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
