JAMES F. WHITE

Mr. James F. ``Frank'' White, 77, of Route 1, died Tuesday, Feb. 13, 1996, at Maryview Hospital in Portsmouth.

He was a native of Washington County, N.C., the son of the late Felton and Madgie Swain White. He had retired from the Ford Motor Co., was a member of Albemarle Church of Christ, and a veteran, having served in the U.S. Army during World War II. Mr. White was the husband of Mae Sawyer White of the home.

Besides his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Jackie White Brickhouse of Columbia; two sons, Terry White of Elizabeth City, N.C., and Guy White of Columbia; a sister, Jane Johnson of Chesapeake; two brothers, Johnny W. White of Plymouth, N.C., and Deward S. White of Chesapeake; and six grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held today at 2 p.m. in Twiford's Memorial Chapel, Elizabeth City. Burial will be in New Hollywood Cemetery, Elizabeth City.
