C. THOMAS WIMBROUGH SR.

Carl Thomas Wimbrough Sr., 58, of the 100 block of Riverpoint Crescent, died Feb. 13, 1996, in a Norfolk hospital.

He was a native of Portsmouth and was self-employed with Wimbrough and Sons. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, Portsmouth, and was a deacon of the church.

He is survived by his wife, Jean F. Wimbrough; two daughters, Connie W. Waterbury of Virginia Beach, Patti W. Wright of Portsmouth; son, Carl Thomas Wimbrough Jr. of Portsmouth; two brothers, Vernon E. Wimbrough and Raymond E. Wimbrough, both of Portsmouth; and five grandchildren.

A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday in Oak Grove Cemetery by the Rev. Philip Parker and Dr. Phillip R. Martin. The family will receive friends at the Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, today from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Memorial donations may be may be made to the American Heart Association, or to the Building Fund of Calvary Baptist Church.
