Herbert Glenwood Bradshaw Jr., 68, of 3211 Clay St., died Wednesday, Feb. 14, 1996, at his residence.
He was born in Suffolk and was a resident of Hopewell for the past 33 years. Mr. Bradshaw was a member of the Powhatan/Starke Lodge (NU)124, AF & AM, Petersburg, and a retired superintendent of public works for the City of Colonial Heights. He was the son of the late Herbert Glenwood and Doris Moore Bradshaw.
Surviving are his wife, Dorothy E. Bradshaw of Hopewell; daughter, Anna L. Kirby of Chester; son, Robert Glenwood ``Bobby'' Bradshaw III of Hopewell; two grandchildren, Matthew Robert Bradshaw and Ryan Glenwood Bradshaw, both of Hopewell; brother, Charles E. Bradshaw of Suffolk.
A masonic memorial service will be held today at 7 p.m. at the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss and Son Funeral Home. The family will receive friends following the service until 8:30 p.m. A graveside service will be held Friday at 11 a.m. in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Suffolk, with the Rev. Willie Cromer, pastor of First Baptist Church, officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church Building Fund, 401 N. 2nd Ave., Hopewell, Va. 23860.
