Elvin L. Midgett, a native of Collington, N.C., died Feb. 12, 1996.
Mr. Midgett, a retired body mechanic, worked for Virginia Beach Motors for 41 years. He was a Baptist.
Survivors include his wife, Peggy J. Midgett; two daughters, Wanda J. Smith of Norfolk, and Sheila M. Lynch of Chesapeake; a son, Thomas W. Chauncey of Norfolk; a brother, Sidney R. Midgett of Norfolk; and four grandchildren.
A graveside service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday in Riverside Memorial Park, Norfolk, by the Rev. Paul D. Moore. The family will receive friends at the Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Indian River Chapel, today from 4 to 6 p.m.
