BERTHA W. TAYLOR

Bertha Marie Williams Taylor, 79, of the 800 block of Copper Stone Circle, died Feb. 12, 1996, in Sentara Norfolk General Hospital.

She was a retired Avon representative and food service employee for the Norfolk Public Schools. She was a native of Norfolk and the widow of the Rev. Randolph A. Taylor Sr. She was a member of Jerusalem Baptist Church, Norfolk, where she was a member of the Minister's Wives Association, and numerous church boards. She was also a member of several community and civic associations, and was a graduate of the Booker T. Washington Class of 1934. She was predeceased by her mother, Lucille Williams Harrison; her father, Judson Williams; her sister, Ruth W. Gunter; and brother, Ivey N. Williams.

She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Sylvia T. Barrett, Mrs. Doris Mair; son, Mr. Randolph A. Taylor Jr.; and two brothers, Herbert H. Williams, Ernest Harrison.

A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday by the Rev. Bernie Jacobs in Jerusalem Baptist Church. Burial is in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. Hale Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
