Benjamin L. ``Brother'' Allen Jr., 55, a retired truck driver, of the 1100 block of City Hall Avenue, died in his residence Feb. 11, 1996.
He was preceded in death by his father, Benjamin L. Allen Sr., his sister, Clara Waller, and a niece, all of Norfolk.
He is survived by his wife, Alma Allen; his mother, Fannie Allen, both of Norfolk; five daughters, LaNita Deburns, Tonya Allen, Donna Allen, Sabrina Allen, and Voncea Allen of Norfolk; two sons, Drill Sgt. Benjamin L. Allen III of Fort Sill, Okla., Christopher Allen of Columbia, S.C.; his sister, Josephine Allen of Norfolk; his brother, Tyrone Nobles of Chesapeake; 11 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
A church service will be conducted at noon Friday at Graves Funeral Home Chapel, by the Rev. Johnny Felton. Cremation will follow. You may join the family at 2525 Jamaica Ave.
