TEACH WINTER SAFETY

I agree with ``Don't endanger children in the snow'' (letter, Feb. 13). Some of the frightening scenes that I witnessed:

I saw parents take their children by car to the overpasses on I-664, parking and letting the children sled down the hills of the overpass into the grassy loop of the interchange.

I saw a car going down my street at night with three teenagers sitting on the hood and three teenagers standing on the back bumper. It is appalling to think that life is so cheap to be thrown away in the name of fun.

I watched in horror as two boys walked on a barely frozen over pond.

We need to teach our children winter safety. Children learn by example, from their parents, hopefully.
