Leonard R. Rice, 89, of the 3900 block of Llewellyn Ave., formally of Kailua Kona, Hawaii, died Feb. 14, 1996.
He was a banker and also served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was preceded in death by his parents, Timothy R. and Grace Emma Rice.
He is survived by a sister, Gertrude May Rice of Norfolk; and a brother, Col. Timothy Robert Rice (retired) of Virginia Beach; and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at 9 a.m. today in Forest Lawn Cemetery. Altmeyer Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
