Doris O. Ruffin, 62, of 32551 Airport Drive, died Feb. 14, 1996, in Obici Hospital, Suffolk, after a long illness.
She was a native of Windsor, N.C., and a homemaker. She was a member of Piney Grove Baptist Church, Franklin, and involved in the Senior Choir and Missionary Choir.
Survivors include her mother, Catherine O. Tropier; three daughters, Vivian Goodwyn of Courtland, Va., Bettina Young of Baltimore and Karen Ruffin of Upper Marlboro, Md.; two sons, Thomas W. Ruffin Jr. of Windsor and Kevin Ruffin of Baltimore; four sisters, Mary Lillie Harville of California, Louise Williams and Carol Hoggard, both of Windsor, and Ada Pearl Spivey of New York, N.Y.; two brothers, Chester Spivey of Jamaica, N.Y., and Carswell Spivey Jr. of Windsor; a son-in-law, Rev. Anthony L. Goodwyn Sr. of Courtland; two daughters-in-law, Brenda B. Ruffin of Windsor and Roblyn S. Ruffin of Baltimore; 11 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be conducted at noon Saturday in Piney Grove Baptist Church by the Rev. G.W. Johnson. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery, Windsor. Wm. M. Johnson and Sons Funeral Home is in charge.
