Gordon E. Jory, 58, died Feb. 12, 1996, in Glendale, Ariz.
A native of Suffolk, he was retired from the U.S. Air Force. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War and received the Vietnam Service Medal, Republic of Vietnam Gallantry Cross, Meritorious Service Medal and Air Force Good Conduct Medal.
Survivors include his wife, Gisele R. Jory; daughter, Cathy Martin; two sons, Robert Jory and Mark Jory; two sisters, Annie Jo Rees and Nancy Schreyer; two brothers, John M. Jory Jr. and Harrell Jory; and seven grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents, John and Josephine Jory.
Funeral services will be conducted in Phoenix, Ariz., Saturday at 2 p.m. A memorial service will be conducted at the Magnolia United Methodist Church on Friday, Feb. 23, 1996, at 8 p.m. The family will receive friends at the church at 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family suggest that memorial donations be made to the Ducktown Basin Museum, P.O. Box 458, Ducktown, Tenn. 37326.
