Horace T. ``Tommy'' White, a former police officer with a long background in community service, has entered the race for Superward Seven on a campaign of paying closer attention to the problems of neighborhoods and small businesses.
White, who is president of the Norfolk Federation of Civic Leagues, is running for the council seat now held by Councilman Rev. Joseph N. Green, who is retiring.
This ward takes up roughly half the city and includes Poplar Hall, Sherwood Forest, parts of Norview, Coronado, Green Hill Farms, Lafayette-Winona, Park Place, Lamberts Point and most public housing areas. by CNB
