Waldon G. Ackiss, 68, of the 400 block of Princess Anne Road, died Feb. 16, 1996, in Virginia Beach.
He was a self-employed farmer and a native of Currituck County, N.C. He was a Baptist.
He is survived by his wife, Alta H. Ackiss; a daughter, Linda Meagher of Virginia Beach; two sons, Steven Ackiss of Virginia Beach and Curtis Ackiss of Elizabeth City, N.C.; a sister, Betty Sue Ackiss of Virginia Beach; three grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday by the Rev. Warren H. Wilson in Ackiss Family Cemetery. The family will be at Smith and Williams Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel, today from 6 to 7 p.m.
