Edward Daniel Colligan, 82, of Rivershore Road, died Feb. 16, 1996, in a Portsmouth hospital.
He was a native of Quincy, Mass., and was retired from the Federal Aviation Administration and was also a retired rehabilitation and substance abuse counselor. Mr. Colligan was a member of St. Andrew Lutheran Church, Portsmouth, and he was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
He is survived by his wife, Gertrude V. Colligan; a daughter, Grace C. Carey of Suffolk; two sons, Patrick J. Colligan of Jacksonville, Fla., and Michael Colligan of Boston, Mass; seven stepchildren; and a grandchild, Deborah Futrowsky of Pasadena, Calif.
A memorial service will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Sunday in St. Andrew Lutheran Church by the Rev. William H. Battermann. Memorial donations may be made to the Memorial Fund of St. Andrew Lutheran Church or the World Service Organization. Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, is in charge of the arrangements.
