L. Elizabeth Tribble, 83, died Thursday, Feb. 15, 1996.
She was born in Portsmouth, Ohio, and raised in Norfolk. She had been a Peninsula resident for 49 years. Mrs. Tribble was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Newport News. She was a member of Emblem Club 184, Newport News, and volunteered at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Hampton.
Survivors include her husband, John P. Tribble; two daughters, Susan T. Earley of Virginia Beach and Neta T. Bowers of Newport News; her sister, Shirley Valloni of Sunnyvale, Calif.; and her grandson, Matthew L. Earley of Virginia Beach.
Emblem Club rites will be held at 7 p.m. Monday at Peninsula Funeral Home. The family will receive friends following the service until 8:30 p.m. A funeral service will be held at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday at St. Paul's Episcopal Church by the Rev. Robert Steilberg.
