Dorothy V. Gay of the 200 block of Waverly Drive, died Feb. 15, 1996, at a local hospital.
Mrs. Gay was retired from Sentara Norfolk General Hospital. She was a member of Bank Street Memorial Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Henry Lee Gay; a daughter, Delphine Williams; four sons, Lloyd Wells Jr., William Earl Wells, Jimmie Lee Wells, Vernon Gay; her mother, Gertrude V. Purdy of Edenton, N.C.; a sister, Edna Fennell; 10 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Rev. Kirkland Harris will preside over the funeral on Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Bank Street Memorial Baptist Church. The body will be taken to thechurch at 9:30 a.m. The burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Park. Graves Funeral Home is in charge.
