A joint effort by the Kiwanis Club, Trinity Episcopal Church and the Olde Towne Civic League has two goals: beautification of Olde Towne and raising money for the Children's Museum. The project is a good example for other groups in the city.
The Kiwanis members will sell window boxes, plants and bulbs on March 16. Proceeds will benefit the museum.
The church and the civic league each have appropriated $300 and each person who buys a container will receive $10 to purchase plants and bulbs for it, as long as the money lasts.
Aside from the beautiful plants we can expect to see blooming in Olde Towne and environs this spring and summer, the project is good for the community because it shows how citizens, churches and clubs can get together to make things better. by CNB
