Alfred J. Maciariello, 70, of the 1900 block of Lewisham Way, died Feb. 17, 1996, at his residence.
He was retired from Bolta General Tire and Rubber Co. after 35 years of service. He was a member of Star of the Sea Catholic Church in Virginia Beach. He was a member of Knights of Columbus, Order of the Alhambra, Lions Club, and Roma Lodge. He also served in the Army during World War II.
He is survived by his wife, Freida R. Maciariello; two daughters, Kathleen M. Fisher of New Hampshire, Charlene Katz of Virginia Beach; two sons, Albert Maciariello of Massachusetts and Alfred Maciariello Jr. of Japan; two sisters, Antoinette Legere and Lena Maciariello, both of Massachusetts; three brothers, Pete Maciariello and Albert Maciariello, both of Massachusetts and Ed Maciariello of Alaska; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be conducted at 6 p.m. Tuesday by Father Sullivan in Star of the Sea Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Associations or the American Diabetes Association. Altmeyer Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
