Ella Mae Holloman, 79, of the 2100 block of Parker Ave., died Feb. 16, 1996, in her home.
Mrs. Holloman, who was born in Ahoskie, N.C., was a member of First Baptist Church South Portsmouth where she was a deaconess, a member of Usher Board (NU)2 and the Pastor's aide.
She is survived by her husband, Deacon Virgil Holloman; two daughters, Alice and her husband, Fred Edwards of Chesapeake and Joyce Yvonne Holloman, of Yonkers, N.Y.; three sons, Ray Joe and his wife, Barbara Holloman, Vincent M. and his wife, Deborah Holloman, all of Portsmouth, William L. and his wife, Tina Holloman, of Asheville N.C.; two sisters, Maggie Wiggins, of Virginia Beach, Ruby Staton, of Ahoskie, N.C.; a brother, George Dukes, of Ahoskie, N.C.; 12 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and friends.
A viewing will begin at Corprew Funeral Home at 10 a.m. Monday. The body will be taken to the church at noon Tuesday. The funeral will be Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. at First Baptist Church South Portsmouth, conducted by the Rev. Warren E. Amlet. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park, Chesapeake.
