Frederick George Lockwood of the U.S. Navy (Ret.), 62, of the 400 block of Carnegie Road, died Feb. 16, 1996, in his residence.
He was a retired sports coordinator at Oceana where he worked for 16 years. He was also retired from the U.S. Navy after 20 years. He was a native of Passaic, N.J. and was a Naval veteran of Korea. He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post (NU)392 and was Umpire of the Navy Board for 35 years.
He is survived by his wife, Diana Lockwood; three daughters, Trish ``Paci'' Lowe, Denise M. LaBouve, and Annmarie Lockwood, all of Virginia Beach; one sister, two brothers; and seven grandchildren.
A graveside service will be conducted at noon Monday by William Potter in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens with military honors. The family will receive friends at the Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Lynnhaven Chapel, today from 7 to 9 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Diabetes Research Center or to the American Heart Association.
