Anna Hall Bailey, 69, of 17076 Florida Ave., died Saturday, Feb. 17, 1996, in Hillhaven-Nansemond Nursing Home, Suffolk.
She was a native of Isle of Wight County and a homemaker. Mrs. Bailey was a member of Central Hill Baptist Church and its Philathea Sunday school class, and she was also a member of Women on Missions. Mrs. Bailey was the daughter of the late George Henry and Hattie Jones Hall. She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Bailey, and her sister, Wortley Louise Hall.
She is survived by a daughter, Nancy Hall Bailey Mayo of Windsor; son-in-law, Darrell G. Mayo of Windsor; granddaughter, Jennifer Nicole Mayo of Windsor; and a sister, Emma Lee Pulley of Windsor.
A funeral service will be conducted Tuesday at 11 a.m. in Central Hill Baptist Church with the Rev. John McQuarry, the Rev. James Crocker, and Dr. Ira Hudgins officiating. Burial will follow in Central Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends today from 2 to 4 p.m. in Colonial Funeral Home, Smithfield, and suggest memorial contributions may be made to Arthritis Foundation, Hampton Roads Branch, 110 Maycox Ave., Suite (NU)3, Norfolk, 23505, or Central Hill Baptist Church, c/o Ollie Logan, 14200 Raynor Road, Ivor, Va. 23866.
