VELMA M. COBB

Velma Marie Cobb, of the 1900 block of Greenleaf Drive, died Feb. 13, 1996, in her residence.

She was a native of Edenton, N.C., and the widow of Jasper Cobb. She was a member of Oxley Hill Baptist Church, Edenton, N.C.

She is survived by three sons, Orlando White of Norfolk, Calvin White of Chesapeake and Stanley White of Norfolk; eight grandchildren; an aunt, Agnes Gay of Edenton; a great-aunt, Rosa M. Givens of Edenton; uncle-in-law, Lee Gay Sr. of Edenton; a daughter-in-law, and many loving relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her parents, Elizabeth and Lou Stallings.

A funeral will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday in Metropolitan Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel. Burial will be in Riverside Memorial Park, Norfolk. Family and friends will assemble at 1927 Greenleaf Drive, Tuesday at noon for the funeral procession to the chapel.
