Nita E. Baker, 74, of the 1400 block of Longwood Drive, died Feb. 17, 1996, at her home.
Mrs. Baker was a native of Orlando, Fla. She was a member of the Greek Orthodox Cathedral of the Annunciation in Norfolk and its Cretan Society.
Survivors include her husband, John A. Baker; one son, Thomas Jack Baker and his wife Cheryl S. Baker of Norfolk; four sisters, Sybil Lewis, Ruth Tindall both of Florida, Markie Redd and Sharon Hicks both of Norfolk; a brother, J.T. Tindall of Florida; two granddaughters, Catherine Baker and Hillary Baker of Norfolk; and several nieces and nephews.
A church service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, Feb. 19, 1996, at Greek Orthodox Cathedral of the Annunciation by Father Constantine P. Rogakas. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery. There will be a Trisagion service at H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Norfolk Chapel, today at 6 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
