Sarah Tucker, a long-time resident of Portsmouth and most recently of Sentara Nursing Center, Greenwood Drive, Portsmouth, died Feb. 6, 1996.
Her burial was in a private service held Feb. 9 in Olive Branch Cemetery.
A memorial service for Miss Tucker will be conducted by her pastor, Dr. Ector Lee Hamrick, at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 21, in the chapel of Port Norfolk Baptist Church, where she was a member. All friends and family are invited to attend.
Miss Tucker was a participant in the Progressive Sunday School Class in her church, a Training Union leader, and an inspiration to all who knew her.
Should anyone wish to memorialize her, gifts may be made to Port Norfolk Baptist Church.
