Dolores F. Latanzio, 83, died Feb. 17, 1996, in Virginia Beach.
Mrs. Latanzio was born in New York City and retired as an elementary school teacher from the New York City School System after 30 years. She was a member of Church of the Holy Family, Baylake Pines Civic League and United Federation of Teachers.
Survivors include her devoted husband of 58 years, George P. Latanzio; a daughter, Michele Zimmerman and her husband, Kenneth, of Virginia Beach; a son, George J. Latanzio and his wife, Reiko, of New Providence, N.J.; a brother, William Fishbourne of Brick, N.J.; two grandsons, Quinn P. Zimmerman and Akira Latanzio; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by four sisters and one brother.
A Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Church of the Holy Family by Fr. Richard T. Mooney. A Christian wake service will be held at 7 p.m. today in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Great Neck Chapel, where the family will remain until 9 p.m. to receive friends.
