John Phillip ``Phil'' Foreman, 40, formerly of the Pungo Creek Community in Belhaven, died Saturday morning, Feb. 17, 1996, at Route 3, Greenville (Simpson Community) from smoke inhalation due to a fire at his residence.
Mr. Foreman was preceded in death by his wife, Rhonda Lynn Holland Foreman, also on Feb. 17, 1996.
Survivors include a son, Jeremy Foreman; his parents, Roswell and Katie Foreman; and a sister, Ann Cahoon, all of Belhaven.
The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the chapel of Paul Funeral Home, Belhaven. Burial will be in Oakdale Cemetery, Washington, N.C. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home and other times at the home of his sister, Ann Cahoon, Route 2, Belhaven (Pungo Creek Community).
