Joseph Copeland, of the 5300 block of Old Court Drive, died Feb. 18, 1996.
Those who remain to share his precious memories include his wife, Bertha Copeland; nine daughters, Mildred Moore, Dorothy Johnson, Carolyn Dickens, and Barbara Jean Copeland of Norfolk, Geraldine Simon, Betty Parker, and Shirley Mae Murphy of Virginia Beach, and Joan Binns and Rudy Mark of Connecticut; four sons, George Copeland and Edward Copeland of Norfolk and Sandy Copeland and Robert Lee Copeland of Portsmouth; and a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday at Upper Room Church of God In Christ, 448 Rudder Road, Virginia Beach, by the Rev. William H. Perry. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park. Graves Funeral Home is in charge. ILLUSTRATION: Photo
