ELNORA G. SHARRETT

Elnora Griffin ``Aunt Nora'' Sharrett, 95, formerly of Prospect Parkway, died Feb. 18, 1996, in Parson's Residential Care Center, Chesapeake.

Mrs. Sharrett, the widow of David B. Sharrett, was a native of Norfolk County. She was retired from the Portsmouth School System as a teacher. She was a member of Cradock Baptist Church for 65 years. She was a Sunday school teacher, a member of the Retired Teacher's Association, a member and past matron of Order of Eastern Star Victory Chapter (NU)16, a member of Deep Creek Senior Citizens Club, Cradock Women's Club, and a volunteer at Portsmouth Naval Shipyard Museum. Mrs. Sharrett co-sponsored the immigration of the Mai Lee Ha family from Vietnam.

Survivors include two sisters, Rose Collins of Baltimore, Katheryn Dodge of Chesapeake; and many nieces and nephews.

The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Cradock Baptist Church by Dr. David L. Denny. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today. Eastern Star rites will be accorded at 7 p.m. today. The family will also be at 603 Nottingham Road, Portsmouth. Memorial donations may be made to Cradock Baptist Church.
