Shirley Ann Lindsey Britt, 55, of the 2500 block of Number Ten Lane, died Sunday Feb. 18, 1996, in Chesapeake General Hospital.
Mrs. Brit was born in Rowland, N.C., and was the daughter of the late Boyd and Sadie Thompson Lindsey. She had formerly been employed with the Mitsubishi Corporation in Chesapeake.
Survivors include her husband, Neil A. Britt; her two daughters, Donna Riley of Elizabeth City and Darlene Britt of Chesapeake; her two sons, Ben Britt of Virginia Beach and Johnny Britt also of Chesapeake; six sisters, Brenda Miller of Red Springs, N.C., Pat Hillard of Newport News, Sue Cummings of Cathage, N.C., Betty Blackmon and Debbie Carter, both of Lumberton, N.C., and Kathy Miller of Fairmont, N.C.; four brothers, Carl Lindsey, Henry Lindsey, Ed Lindsey and Will Lindsey, all of Rowland, N.C.; and 10 grandchildren.
The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the chapel of Oman Funeral Home, Great Bridge. Burial will follow in Chesapeake Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. today.
