Margaret Harris Lathrop, 70, of the 1300 block of Winchester Ave., daughter of the late Paul Denzel Harris Sr. and Grace Cotton Harris, died Feb. 18, 1996.
She was a homemaker and native of Norfolk. She was Episcopal.
Survivors include two daughters, Diane Worley of Hertford, N.C., and Patricia Worley of Chesapeake; a son, Bruce Lathrop of Alabama; a sister, Mary Williams of Norfolk; two granddaughters, Rebecca White of Hertford and Shannon Hall of Alabama; three grandsons, Wayne Worley Jr. and Jason Worley, both of Hertford, and Justin Hall of Alabama; and various other family members. She was preceded in death by her brother, Paul Harris Jr.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens by TH.D. William Gregory. The family will receive friends from 7:30 to 9 p.m. today. Smith and Williams Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel, is in charge.
