FRANCES TYLER

Frances Tyler, of the 1300 block of Danielle Court, departed this life Feb. 19, 1996, at Camelot Hall Nursing Home.

Mrs. Tyler, the widow of Ernest W. Tyler, was a native of Greenville County, Va. She was a member of the Abyssinia Baptist Church, Norfolk. She was born to the late Annie Belle Graves and the late George Graves.

Survivors include four daughters, Thelma Fentress, Mary Jane Calvert, both of Norfolk, Shirley Simmons of Dumfries, Va., Frances Urquhart of Chesapeake; two sisters, Louise Graves of Petersburg, Va., Mary Ella Sills of Brooklyn, N.Y.; 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; a host of other relatives and friends; three sisters-in-law, Ella Winslow, Mary Berry, both of Norfolk, Odelia Newby of Chesapeake; and three sons-in-law, John Calvert, Lamar Simmons, Calvin Urquhart.

The funeral will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Abyssinia Baptist Church, 2816 Colley Ave., by Dr. Frank Guns. Burial will be in Lincoln Memorial Cemetery, Portsmouth. Family and friends will assemble at 1317 Danielle Court, Chesapeake, at 12:30 p.m. Thursday for the funeral procession to the church. Metropolitan Funeral Service is in charge.
