The Roanoke Island Historical Association, producer of The Lost Colony outdoor drama in Manteo, is making plans to celebrate its 60th birthday next year with a reunion of the drama's alumni, friends and families.
The event is planned for the weekend of July 4, 1997, and will mark the 60th anniversary of Paul Green's first symphonic outdoor drama, as well as the 410th anniversary of the first English settlement in America, which The Lost Colony depicts.
