Tickets for Virginia's Incredible Edibles, a made-in-Virginia wine and gourmet food festival, are on sale.
The annual event, held at The Max, 425 Water St., is scheduled from 5 to 9 p.m. March 1 and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. March 2.
Tickets are $15 in advance, $17 at the door. The cost includes a wine glass, canvas shopping bag, wine and food samples, door prizes and wine seminars.
``The Basics of Wine'' will be discussed in three seminars.
Jim Raper, whose weekly column ``The Humble Steward'' appears in The Virginian-Pilot, will lead the first seminar from 6 to 6:45 p.m. March 1; Roy Williams, a professor at Old Dominion University, will lead the second seminar from noon to 12:45 p.m. March 2; and a wrap-up on ``The Basics of Wine'' will be held from 3 to 3:45 p.m. with Sally Connolly of Broudy-Kantor, a beverage distributing company in Norfolk.
Exhibitors offering samples of their wares will include Afton Mountain Vineyards, Ashman Distributing Company, Barboursville Vineyards, Beach Smokehouse, Brutti's, Cedar Forest Berry Farm, Chateau Morrisette, Fearnow Brothers, Holland Sauce Co., Horton Vineyards, Ingleside Plantation Vineyards, Jefferson Vineyards, La Provencale Cellars and Linda's Specialty Pound Cakes.
Also, The Max, Oasis Vineyards, Prince Michel Winery, Purely American, The Real Bread Co., Rose Bower Winery, Rowena's, Stonewall Vineyards & Winery, Thunder Bay, Virginia Wine of the Month Club, Williamsburg Winery, Wintergreen Vineyards & Winery and Wissie Cakes.
