Nellie Jordan Jones, 86, of Route 1, died Thursday, Feb. 22, 1996, in Sentara Leigh Memorial Hospital.
Mrs. Jones was born in Chowan County. A homemaker, she was a member of Middle Swamp Baptist Church but had recently been attending Eure Christian Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde W. Jones Sr. and her son, Clyde W. Jones Jr.
Surviving are one daughter, Florence J. ``Flossie'' Eure of Eure; six grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Saturday in Eure Christian Church by the Rev. Wayne Gardner. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Miller Funeral Home, Gatesville, is in charge of the arrangements. Friends may join the family at the home of her daughter, Route 1, Eure. Memorial contributions may be made to Eure Christian Church.
