HARRY E. EASON JR.

Harry Edward Eason Jr., 79, of Birdneck Point, died Feb. 22, 1996, in his residence.

Mr. Eason was a native of Norfolk, and a resident of Virginia Beach for the past 45 years. He graduated from Maury High School and attended the College of William and Mary. He was a veteran of World War II, served four years in the Eastern Theater, participated in the Normandy Invasion, and the Army of Occupation of Germany. He retired after 45 years as assistant treasurer of Royster Company. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Pacific Ave., in Virginia Beach.

Survivors include his wife, Florence Faber Eason; son, William Michael Eason; daughter-in-law, Elaine A. Eason; two grandchildren, Blair Alexandra Eason and Brian Michael Eason, all of Virginia Beach; and a niece, Elaine A. Nix of Kinston, N.C.

A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in Forest Lawn Cemetery with Dr. Scottie Griffin officiating. Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Lynnhaven Chapel, is in charge of the arrangements. The family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 7 to 8 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to First Presbyterian Church, 36th and Pacific Ave., Virginia Beach, 23451, or to Virginia Beach Rescue Squad, 19th and Arctic Ave., Virginia Beach, 23451.
