MACK R. WILCOX SR.

Mack R. Wilcox Sr., 74, died Feb. 22, 1996.

He was a retired commander in the U.S. Navy and he served for 41 years. He was also a retired engineer with Tracor Inc. He was a native of the Berkley section of Norfolk and a member of Thalia Lynn Baptist Church. He was a member of Berkley Masonic Lodge (NU)167 and a recipient of the Legion of Merit and two bronze stars.

He is survived by his wife, Alberta C. Wilcox; daughter, Peggy Ann Peters of Atlanta, Ga.; two sons, Mark A. Wilcox of Hampton, Va., Mack R. Wilcox Jr. of Venice, Fla.; sister, Margaret McCabe of Virginia Beach; four brothers, Morris Wilcox of Newport News, Albert Wilcox of Hampton, James Wilcox of Washington, D.C., Anson Wilcox of Rockville, Md.; and three grandchildren.

A graveside service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday by the Rev. Robert L. Crute in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Bayside Chapel, today from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to the Kidney Foundation.
