LOUISE W. MANUEL

Louise West Manuel, 77, died Feb. 22, 1996.

She was a retired personnel staffing specialist for the Department of the Navy, until she retired in August 1980 after 26 years of service. She was a native of Oklahoma and attended the Open Door Chapel. She worked with the Virginia Beach democratic city committee. She was a member of the Democratic Club.

She was predeceased by her husband, Stelio Manuel and a son, Louis Paul. She is survived by a son, Steven F. Manuel and his wife, Debbie of Norfolk; two sisters, Irene Matthias and Mary Lynn Tinkham, both of Virginia Beach; brother, Buddy West of Oklahoma; six grandchildren, Chris and Diana Paul and Clint, Christine, Michael, and Angela Manuel.

A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday in Smith and Williams Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel. Burial is in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at Steven and Debbie's home at 3525 Hewitt Drive in Norfolk. Memorial contributions can be made to the Alzheimers Association or the American Cancer Society. In lieu of flowers, please send plants.
