Robert Benjamin Marks, 83, of the 400 block of Harrell St., died Feb. 22, 1996, in Villege at Woods Edge Retirement Home, Franklin, Va.
He was a retired meat cutter and a native of Halifax County, N.C. He was the widower of Ruth Short Marks. Mr. Marks was a member of Murfreesboro Baptist Church and an Army veteran of World War II.
He is survived by a son, Ed Marks of Buxton, N.C.; and sister, Alma Marks Waters of Washington, N.C.
A graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday by Dr. Davis Smith in Riverside Cemetery. Garrett Funeral Home, Murfreesboro, in charge. The family will receive friends at the home. Memorial donations may be made to a favorite charity.
