MAN ACQUITTED IN KILLING

Charlie Brown Jr., of the first block of Grand St., was found not guilty Wednesday of first-degree murder in the death of 22-year-old Tonya Childs last year.

Brown, 64, was accused of shooting Childs once in the chest during an argument April 26 in his home in Douglass Park. He was also acquitted on firearms charges.
