Keith Bull, who for 16 years was administrator of Northampton County, has been named administrator of Accomack County. Bull was among 37 applicants for the job.
``It will be a smooth transition. He's got a lot of local experience,'' said Arthur Fisher on Thursday. Fisher, Accomack's retiring administrator, said he will stay on the job until March 15, and Bull will take over the following day.
Since 1994, Bull has been director of economic development for the Eastern Shore of Virginia Economic Development Commission. From 1990-94, he worked in Richmond as executive director of the state's Chesapeake Bay local assistance program.
Bull, an Eastern Shore native, lives on Westerhouse Creek near Machipongo.
Fisher said Bull's salary and benefits are being negotiated. by CNB
