Madeleine Guilmette Gagne, 73, died Feb. 21, 1996, in a Norfolk hospital.
Mrs. Gagne, a native of Somersworth, N.H., was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church for 45 years. She was a Eucharistic minister at the church and a volunteer for Mobile Meals of Norfolk.
Survivors include her husband, Cmdr. W.C. Gagne, U.S. Navy retired; three daughters, Sister Francine Gagne, I.H.M., of Harrisburg, Pa., Suzanne Gannon and Cecilia Cook, both of Norfolk; three sons, James E. Gagne and Robert P. Gagne, both of Norfolk, David J. Gagne of Virginia Beach; three sisters, Constance Viel of Rollinsford, N.H., Henriette Guilmette of Somersworth, Gertrude Rimbaud of Largo, Fla; five brothers, Richard Guilmette of Rochester, N.H., Leo Paul Guilmette, Bernard Guilmette, and Delmore Guilmette, all of Somersworth, Conrad Guilmette of Portland, Maine; and 10 grandchildren.
A Liturgy of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 7:30 p.m. Sunday by Father Lou Ruoff at Holy Trinity Catholic Church. Entombment will be in Rosewood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the church from 6:15 to 7:15 p.m. Sunday and will assemble Monday at 10 a.m. at the church for prayers and procession to the cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to her church. Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel, is in charge.
