Henry Bayard Edwards Jr., 74, died Friday, Feb. 23, 1996.
Mr. Edwards was a former resident of Portsmouth. He was a graduate of the University of Virginia, a retired electrical engineer with Rumsey Electric Company. He was a member of Virginia Heights Lodge No. 324 A.F.&A.M. in Roanoke.
He is survived by his wife, Myrtis M. Edwards; six children, Ann E. Travers of Richmond, Henry B. Edwards III of Lynchburg, Leigh E. Hilldrup of Powhatan, Lindsey E. Chadduck of Charlottesville, Susan E. Moore of Richmond, and P. Clinton Midkiff of Elizabeth City, N.C.; and 13 grand-children.
Remains rest at the West Chapel of Bennett Funeral Home, Richmond, where the family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday and where a Masonic memorial service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Sunday. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday in Westhampton Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association Greater Richmond Chapter 6767, Forest Hill Ave., Richmond, Va. 23225.
