JOHN W. MUSICK

John Wrenshall Musick, 88, a resident of Williamsburg and a native of St. Louis, Mo., died Feb. 22, 1996, at Williamsburg Community Hospital.

Mr. Musick was the son of the late Charles Wrenshall and Henrietta Conrad Musick. He was preceded in death by a son, Charles Whitley Musick. In addition to his wife, Frances Darden Musick, he is survived by a daughter, Conrad Musick Purrington and her husband, Philip Parker Purrington Jr.; two sons, John Darden Musick and his wife, Peggy Soles Musick, and Richard Morgan Musick and his wife, Susan Montgomery Musick; and seven grandchildren, Elizabeth Whitaker Purrington, Philip Parker Purrington III, and his wife, Michele Williams Purrington, David Wrenshall Purrington, John Wrenshall Musick II, Aaron Graydon Musick, Charles Whitley Musick II; and Richard Montgomery Musick.

A long-time resident of Norfolk and Virginia Beach, Mr. Musick was very active in his church and community services. He retired as a senior vice president and trust officer of NationsBank.

Dr. William Summers, of Ware, Va. will conduct a memorial service at 11 a.m Monday at Williamsburg Presbyterian Church, 215 Richmond Road. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Zuni Presbyterian Center, Box 54 Zuni, Va. 23898, or the Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis Association, 21021 Ventura Blvd. Suite 321, Woodland Hills, Calif. 91364. Bucktrout of Williamsburg is handling the arrangements.
