Jane Thomas Wingrove, 70, died Feb. 24, 1996.
In 1990 she retired from Vims as a lab technician after 16 years of employment. Along with her career at Vims, she was a devoted wife, mother and friend. She was a member of Chestnut Memorial United Methodist Church, Newport News.
She is survived by a husband of 50 years, Ralph L. Wingrove; two daughters, Beth and husband Randy Orga, and Ellen Wingrove; a son, Lester and wife Yvonne Wingrove; a sister, Virginia Thomas Clendenin; a brother, Merritt W. Thomas; and three grandchildren, Michael W. Wingrove, Emily M. Wingrove and Lauren Orga, all of Hayes.
A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Gloucester Point Cemetery by the Rev. Randolph E. Tucker Jr. The family will receive friends at Hogg Funeral Home, Gloucester Point, from 7 to 8 p.m. today. Should friends desire, memorial contributions may be made to Abingdon Volunteer Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 247, Gloucester Point, Va. 23062.
