Ruth Magee Wood, 85, formerly of Portsmouth, died Feb. 24, 1996, in Blackstone.
Mrs. Wood was born in Southampton County, Va., and was the widow of Frank L. Wood.
Survivors include two daughters, Carolyn R. Wood of Richmond and Betty Wood Bridgforth of Victoria, Va.; three sisters, Newday M. Moore of Newport News, Ray M. Glore of Silver Springs, Fla., and Christeen M. Laine of Wakefield, Va.; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Olive Branch Cemetery by the Rev. George Mullinax. Snellings Funeral Home, Churchland Chapel, is handling arrangements.
