Earnest Nathaniel Dorsett, 74, of the 2800 block of Mapleton Ave., died Feb. 25, 1996, in Sentara Norfolk General Hospital.
Mr. Dorsett, a retired cement finisher, worked for James and Webb Contractors for 45 years. He was a devoted member of Bethlehem Baptist Church and the Elite Club.
He is survived by his four children, Earnestine Dorsett, Fredward T. Dorsett, Charlie Womack, all of Norfolk, and Lula Irby of Chesapeake; three sisters, Alene Hanner, Irene Headan and Josephine Marsh, all of North Carolina; two brothers-in-law; one sister-in-law; one son-in-law; 11 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a host of relatives and friends. Mrs. Dorsett was predeceased by his wife, Mary Womack Dorsett.
The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday by the Rev. Harold Bernard Branch at Bethlehem Baptist Church, 1502 Link St., Norfolk. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Norfolk. Graves Funeral Service is in charge of the arrangements. ILLUSTRATION: Photo
