LENA C. GREEN

Lena Burwell Cash Green, 79, of 29443 Bethany School Road, died Feb. 26, 1996, at Southampton Memorial Hospital.

She was a native of Chase City and was the daughter of the late Charles E. and Laura Newcomb Cash. A long-time resident of Southampton County, she was the retired co-owner/operator of Green's Produce Market and Nursery. Mrs. Green was a member of the Hunterdale United Church of Christ and the High Street Senior Citizens.

She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Romie E. Green; two daughters, Barbara G. Cunningham of Fairfax and Melinda G. Harrison and her husband, Wallace, of Windsor; four sons, Romie B. Green and wife, Hazel, James S. Green and wife, Faye, Hoyle B. Green and wife, Jean, and Larry R. Green and wife, Lori, all of Franklin; one sister, Ruby C. Hogge of Newport News; 10 grandchildren, Steven L. Green, Lori G. Bailey, Robin M. Cunningham, Kristen A. Cunningham, Shari G. Gray, Michael B. Green, Michelle J. Green, Jennifer G. Harrison, Kevin B. Harrison and Candace M. Green; and five great-grandchildren, Zachery Green, Travis and Bradley Bailey, Storm and Colby Gray.

The funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Hunterdale United Church of Christ by the Rev. James X. Camak and the Rev. Wayne Underwood. The family will receive visitors at Wright Funeral Home from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today and suggest memorial donations be made to the Franklin Fire and Rescue Squad.
