Gail Donald ``Joe'' Watt, 84, of the 700 block of Carolina Ave., died Feb. 25, 1996, in Virginia Beach General Hospital.

He was a retired electrician for the U.S. Government and Railroad. He was Protestant and a member of Church of The Redeemer, Virginia Beach. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.

He is survived by his wife, Mable D. Watt of the home; two daughters, Nita Berglane of Wilmington, Del., and Gail Schaffer of Waynesboro, Pa.; two sons, John Mark Watt of Annapolis, Md., and Thomas Russell Watt of Columbia, Md.; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

A funeral will be at 8 p.m. Wednesday by Pastor Wally Odom in Kellum Funeral Home, Bonney Road Chapel. Burial will be at 1 p.m. Friday in Fort Lincoln Cemetery, Brentwood, Md. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to Church of the Redeemer Building Fund, Virginia Beach.
