ALMARIE ASKEW

Almarie Askew, of the 800 block of Goff St., died Feb. 24, 1996, in a local hospital.

She was a retired domestic worker and a native of Powellville, N.C. She was a member of C.H. Mason Memorial Church of God in Christ.

She is survived by a daughter, Barbara Smith of Norfolk; two brothers, Linwood Barn and Aaron Barn, both of Baltimore, Md.; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday by the Rev. David Williams in C.H. Mason Memorial Church of God in Christ. Burial is in Roosevelt Memorial Park. Graves Funeral Home is in charge. Friends may join the family at the residence.
